The United States and Israel have carried out a large joint military attack on Iran, using around 1,200 bombs, 200 fighter jets and striking more than 500 targets. Israel named its part of the campaign 'Operation Roaring Lion', while the United States called its action Operation Epic Fury. According to reports, missile bases, air defence systems and underground command centres were among the main targets. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) sent around 200 fighter aircraft into western and central Iran.
