more-inA special squad of the Regional Transport Authority conducted an intensive drive in and around Jnanabharathi and booked 120 vehicles for permit violations and other offences. Private vehicles including goods vehicles, buses, maxi cabs and cars were subjected to checking. Private buses and maxi cabs were booked for plying without permits and other violations such as defective number plates, not carrying valid documents such emission test and insurance certificates and non payment of tax. More than 800 vehicles were checked, of which 120 vehicles were booked and 25 were seized. The drive was conducted under the supervision of J. Gnanendra Kumar and enforcement staff.
