120 schools in Poonch ordered closed due to Pak firing, residents live in fear as ceasefire violations continue


Over 120 schools in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir have been declared closed due to repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the border. Nine people, including 5 civilians, have been killed and 47 injured in ceasefire violations over last three days. The District Development Commissioner today ordered 120 schools in Balakot and Mankote to stay closed, ANI reported. Villagers in hamlets along the India-Pakistan international border continue to live in fear as ceasefire violations from Pakistan continues unabated. Arnia town, which was once considered to be safe from Pakistani firing and shelling, was also hit by several mortar bombs.
