12 immigrants held at house used as transit point


SANDAKAN: Twelve people were arrested from a house believed to be a transit point for illegal immigrants arriving from the Philippines here. Acting on a tip off a team from the Marine police raided the house at a squatter colony at Batu 2 last night and found a woman and 11 men. Investigations revealed the group had just arrived here from Zamboanga, Philippines with several others who managed to escape the dragnet. Squatter house of transit to foreigners in Batu 2, Sandakan.
