With the much-hyped 11th parliamentary election around eight months away, the Election Commission has started procuring the necessary electoral materials and technologies. “It is certain that the polls schedule will be announced in October. The Election Commission will decide on this,” Election Commissioner Md Rafiqul Islam told the Dhaka Tribune on Friday. On April 26, the commission invited tenders for the procurement of ballot boxes, ballot papers and other materials. To avoid facing hurdles, we have started procuring those several months before the polls.
