A total of 1,016 platoons of BGB were deployed on Tuesday for the December 30 election. BGB Public Relation Officer Mohsin Reza confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune. Earlier on December 13, the Election Commission said army will be deployed from December 24 as a striking force across the country. The commission had they will stay in the field as striking force field until January 2.
