Ms Waiguru was impeached last week after 23 out of 33 MCAs voted to remove her from office. A special committee will investigate allegations by Kirinyaga County Assembly that led to the impeachment of Governor Anne Waiguru. The senators voted Tuesday in favour of having an 11-member team to hear the impeachment motion against the Kirinyaga county boss. A total of 45 senators voted to form a special committee, 14 voted no while one senator abstained. The team has 10 days to investigate the allegations and submit a report to Senate.
