Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has detained 11 foreign nationals while they were reportedly attempting to enter a Rohingya refugee camp at Ukhiya in Cox’s Bazar. They were held from near the relief centre adjacent to Ukhiya Degree College around 12pm on Friday, said RAB 7 Company Commander Maj Md Ruhul Amin. None of them had their passports with them when they were approached and asked what they were doing there, RAB officials said. Some locals, however, told the Dhaka Tribune that these foreigners were in Cox’s Bazar working with different international aid and donor organizations. However, the foreigners reportedly told RAB officials that their passports were kept in their Dhaka offices before they started for Cox’s Bazar.
