Rain did not dampen spirits as officials opened the 107th Caroline Bay Carnival. Caroline Bay Association president Warren Barker joined Timaru District mayor Damon Odey and Rangitata MP Andrew Falloon on stage at the Caroline Bay Soundshell to officially kick off the 13 day carnival at 2pm on Tuesday. JOHN BISSET/STUFF The Caroline Bay Carnival got off to a wet start on its opening day on Boxing Day. Falloon said the community owed so much to the work of volunteers, evident by the number of people who helped out with the Caroline Bay Carnival.
