Remarkables Residences is aimed at families and workers. New Queenstown Lakes Mayor Jim Boult has cautiously welcomed a $100million housing complex planned for Frankton Flats. The Remarkables Residences Ltd applied for resource consent last week for 225 mostly four-bedroom terraced houses between the Five Mile shopping centre and the soon-to-open Pak’n Save supermarket. The Remarkables Residences proposed "truly affordable homes to meet the needs of current and future generations in the Queenstown community", its application said. News of the proposal follows the announcement last month of a $30million worker housing complex for Gorge Rd.
