The Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery is Europe’s largest American cemetery, memorializing 15,200 war dead. In the American Cemetery lie the remains of 368 American soldiers who fought with the Allies to liberate Belgium during the Ypres-Lys offensive. Perched on a hill overlooking the city of Paris, the Suresnes American Cemetery was the first American overseas cemetery.
