Acting on a tip-off, a patrol team of the coast guard outpost (west zone) conducted drives there and rescued them early Saturday, he said. The detainee is Md Nurul Haq alias Ledu Mia, 36, a resident of Kuchuri village under Banshkhali upazila in Chittagong. The rescued are -- residents of Kishoreganj Md Renu Mia and Md Tutul Mia, Md Manik Hossain of Chandpur, Md Hridoy and Md Biman of Mymensingh, Md Akter of Habiganj, Md Al Amin and Md Arif of Noakhali, Md Amir Hossain of Chittagong, and Md Parvez of Kushtia. They will be handed over to Sarankhola police station, the coast guard official added.
