Ten people were injured when shots rang out in the famed French Quarter of New Orleans early on Sunday (local time), according to the city's Police Department. Most of the victims were taken to area hospitals, including two in critical condition. "The City of New Orleans will not allow incidents like this to derail the progress we have made, or to further disrupt our community." No officers were injured in the shooting. After the 2016 Bayou Classic game, a shooting on Bourbon Street left one dead and nine people, ranging from ages 20 to 37, injured.
