The accident occurred on Wednesday around 2pm at Sitakunda Eco-Park rail crossing area under Sitakunda upazila in Chittagong. Five injured students were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) and the remaining students were taken to Sitakunda Upazila Health Complex. According to Sitakunda police, the picnic bus carrying students and teachers of Feni Darul Arkam Madrasah was bound for Sitakunda Eco-Park. An inter-city train rammed the picnic bus when it was crossing a rail crossing, during which ten students received injuries, the police said.
