10 Houses Burned To Ashes as Residents of Korr-Ta Plead for HelpKakata, Margibi County – Residents of Korr-Ta village located in Section#4, Wea Clan, District#4 are appealing for assistance from the Liberian government, the Liberia National Red Cross Society, their District Representative, Ben A. Fofana, and other philanthropist organizations for help. The residents of Korr-Ta appeal comes in the wake of a fire incident that leftover ten houses burning to the ground on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. The incident left over 9 rice hut (kitchen) burn without being able to take any of it from the raging fire which took place about 2:00 P.M on that Wednesday. “We are in dire need of help as if nothing is done now, the coming days will be very tough on families in the town as we will have no rice to plant for this year”, Town Chief Sackie further stated. Meanwhile, Margibi County Superintendent has expressed serious concern about the fire incident that led to the burning of several houses including rice kitchen in Korr-Ta.
