One person has died at the Fredericton's wastewater treatment plant on the city's north side. A news release from city hall said there was a death involving a contractor at the Barker Street plant. "The investigation has been turned over to WorkSafe NB," city spokesperson Michael Baldwin wrote in an email. Fire trucks and police could be seen through the fence around the plant earlier in the afternoon. The city provided no other details, including information about the victim.
