A wildfire on Vancouver Island near Sooke has been 100 per cent contained, firefighters say. Fire crews were called to the blaze near Kangaroo Road in Metchosin at around 3:30 p.m. PT Wednesday afternoon. Road remains closedCLOSED - #BCHWY14 due to Forest Fire, Detour via Happy Valley Rd to Rocky Point Rd to Gillespie Rd. says the road is closed from Gillespie Road, east of Sooke, to Happy Valley Road in Langford. It recommends detouring from Happy Valley Road to Gillespie Road via Rocky Point Road.
