The detainee, Didarul Alam, arrived in Chittagong—from Muscat—on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight at 10am on Tuesday. Nur Uddin Milon, deputy commissioner of Chittagong Customs, said they searched Didarul’s bag as his movement was suspicious. Later, they seized the gold bars—that weigh a total 11.20kg—from his possession. He said legal action will be taken against the detainee.
