ECHAGUE, Isabela – A 29-year-old motorcycle rider died while nine others were hurt in two separate crashes on New Year’s Eve (Tuesday, Dec. 31) and on New Year’s Day (Wednesday, Jan. 1) in Isabela province, police said. At dawn on Jan. 1 in Echague town, Anthony Tagacay, 29, was killed after a collision with another motorcycle threw him off his motorcycle at the village of Dammang. The other motorcycle rider, Sergio Azpa, 29, is fighting for his life at a hospital. A day earlier, a motorcycle rammed a tricycle in San Mateo town, injuring tricycle driver Francisco Carrabbacan, 44, and his seven passengers.
