One person has died in a small airplane crash in a wooded area near a rural west Ottawa airport, police say. Ottawa police and firefighters said they were called to the Carp Airport at about 1 p.m. on Wednesday for reports of a plane crash. Fire officials said a plane was found on fire in a wooded area near the airport. Firefighters located the small plane in a wooded area south of the airport. The Carp Airport is located approximately 30 kilometres west of downtown Ottawa.
