Riajul Kazi, 22, was arrested from the Koralkopa village of Gopalganj's Tungipara upazila on Sunday night, confirmed Tungipara police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) AFM Nasim. On Saturday, Tungipara Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer (UHFPO) Dr Jashim Uddin filed an assault case naming Gazi Tarikul as prime accused and 4-5 others without naming them at Tungipara police station. Doctors of the Tungipara Upazila Health Complex stopped taking patients at their outdoor section from Sunday to press-home their demand of swiftly bringing the culprits to book. UHFPO Dr Jashim Uddin said: "We are operating the Corona (Covid-19) and other units of the hospital as usual. On Saturday, a local Kazi Alamgir, 65, went to the Tungipara Upazila Health Complex for treatment with symptoms similar to that of Covid-19.
