The border guard personnel seized the large consignment of the contraband tablets worth about 4.2 crore after conducting a drive in Kharangkhali area of the upazila on Saturday night. BGB members noticed two people swimming ashore and challenged them, but the duo went back leaving their sacks behind. Later, BGB members recovered the contraband from the sacks, he said. Lt Col Khan said the contrabands are worth an estimated Tk 4.2 crore.
