1,300 fishery workers recruited to work in RoK


1,300 fishery workers recruited to work in RoKThe Vietnamese Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) and the Republic of Korea’s (RoK) Ministry of Employment and Labour have agreed on organising a contest in the fisheries industry in 2016 for Vietnamese employees who wish to work in the RoK under the Employment Permit System (EPS) programme. Candidates will undergo two exams, including a Korean language test and an assessment of skills and capabilities. The contents include a competency assessment on practical experience and certification of experienced workers in the registered sectors. The qualified labourers passing the second-round test will be allowed to register to work in the RoK. Those who have completed work contracts in the RoK under the EPS programme for the fishing industry are also eligible for the contest.
