Share TweetBy Analou De VeraThe Department of Health (DOH) said that more than 1,000 new cases of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) were reported during the month of June. The figure is higher than the 993 HIV cases recorded during the same period last year. The health department noted that majority of the cases were from the NCR with 346 cases; followed by Calabarzon with 155 cases, Central Luzon with 114 cases, Central Visayas with 78 cases, and Western Visayas with 56 cases. Since then, there have been 68,401 confirmed HIV cases reported to the HARP,” the DOH said.
