KUALA LUMPUR: Police announced that RM114 million in cash was seized in its raid on several apartments in Pavilion Residences on May 18. Another RM500,000 in cash was also seized from former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s residence in Jalan Langgak Duta, Taman Duta. Announcing this at a press conference today, Federal Commercial Crime Investigation chief Datuk Seri Amar Singh said, on the Pavilion Residences raid, the amount was found in 35 bags out of 72 bags taken from the premises. He said police took three days to calculate the total amount, with the aid of Bank Negara Malaysia and Bank Islam. “Photographs of the jewelry, handbags and other seized items will be sent to experts in Paris for evaluation,” he said.
