KUALA LUMPUR: The Youth and Sports Ministry will assist tahfiz schools nationwide to conduct free inspection of electrical wiring for their premises. Its Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said his ministry had so far identified 100 tahfiz schools in the vicinity of National Youth Skills Institutes (IKBN) nationwide. He said tahfiz schools which wished to receive the assistance - to be provided by IKBNs in their respective states - can engage the ministry through these institutes. "We hope that through this effort, it will help enhance the security requirements in the tahfiz schools. The suspects were identified through the closed-circuit television footage retrieved from Malaysian Muslim Consumers' Association (PPIM) building located adjacent to the tahfiz school.
