KOTA KINABALU: Three politicians held by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission for investigations into the alleged siphoning of Federal funds meant for Sabah arrived at the courthouse here where they are expected to be remanded. The three, a youth leader from the Parti Warisan Sabah and two youth leaders from Umno, clad in orange lock-up shirts, were whisked to the Magistrate Court by the MACC officers under tight security at 12.25pm. The three politicians, one from Parti Warisan Sabah and two from Umno, were held yesterday for investigations into allegations of mishandling of RM1.5 billion in Federal funds meant for rural development in Sabah. On Oct 5, MACC detained Parti Warisan Sabah vice president Datuk Peter Anthony and a businessman at Sabah MACC officer after giving their statement to facilitate probe over alleged misappropriation of federal-funded projects for Sabah folks. Another former deputy secretary of a division in Regional and Rural Development Ministry was detained the same day at MACC headquarters in Putrajaya.
