Indian Bankers' Association (IBA) said the Budget rightly focused on boosting domestic consumption to aid the growth. "In the midst of global uncertainties fuelling from protectionism and market volatility, the focus is rightly on spiralling domestic consumption to aid overall growth," IBA chairman Rajeev Rishi said in a statement here today. "Hence, lot of thrust is given to rural sector, on education, employment and rural infrastructure. Listing and trading of Security Receipts issued by the securitisation companies is another good move which would help banks to deal with NPAs. IBA feels that infrastructure status to affordable housing sector will help increase the flow of funds to the sector.
