So far more than 100 million early votes have been cast as of 7:00am eastern time in the United States. This includes more than 63.84 million million ballots cast and 36.44 million in person votes. Twenty-one states and Washington, DC, have seen more than half of their registered voters cast ballots already. Hawaii and Texas have already surpassed their 2016 total and five other states – Montana, North Carolina, Georgia, New Mexico and Nevada – are close to doing the same. In an additional seven states, the pre-election vote represents at least 90% of their 2016 total vote – North Carolina, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee.
