PARKING touts have allegedly been creating problems in areas including Jalan Laxamana and Jalan Panglima in Ipoh. While some of the motorists admitted to have paid the touts at least RM2, they claim it’s out of concern that their vehicles might otherwise be vandalised. “During the day, motorists use parking coupons for public lots managed by the Ipoh City Council. “The touts, however, begin operating at 6pm (daily) at the end of parking operating hours. ACTIONLINE:The Ipoh City Council said it would carry out checks in areas where the touts’ activity is rampant.
