“The Daily Show” is takings its “Heroes of the Freedomsurrection” west as the late-night show will be displaying its mock commemoration in Los Angeles from June 3-5 at Westfield Century City Nordstrom Plaza, per Deadline. The mocking memorial will commemorate the January 6th siege on the Capitol that features monuments to figures including Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and Josh Hawley. Furthermore, it will be similar to the display that the show had in New York earlier this year to mark the first anniversary. Along with the eight plagues on display that the Comedy Central show commemorated in New York’s Flatiron District, they will be adding two more in Mark Meadows and Matt Gaetz. For the Los Angeles Freedomsurrection structure, the show rented space at the mall, taking advantage of its foot traffic and visibility.
