Bangladesh Police Headquarters in Dhaka on Tuesday held a programme to pay homage to those who were killed and injured in Operation Sun Devil in Godagari in Rajshahi. “My husband was the only source of income in the family. Now that he is no more, how will I run the family?”This is what Tanjila Begum, the widow of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense’s fireman Md Abdul Motin, told the Dhaka Tribune when she came to receive the honorarium money at the event. During the drive, before killing themselves by detonating suicide vests, the militants hacked firefighter Abdul Motin to death. Police also gave honorarium to five policemen who sustained injures from the suicide blast.
