And by the end of 2020, ASUU has recorded 52 months of strike in 11 years. A Premium Times report shows that December 2020 made it the 51st month that ASUU went on strike in 11 years. With the argument being inconclusive, university lecturers believe that the government cannot be trusted with any sort of agreement. Obviously aware of the vicious cycle in the Nigerian university system, these students have taken their destiny into their hands. As public university students watch students in private universities move onto their next session, Great is certain this won’t be the last strike.
