This season West Ham’s academy stars have taken giant leaps forward with Nuno Espírito Santo at the helm. Unlike immediate predecessors Lopetegui and Potter who starved the youngsters of minutes, Nuno has brought on talented individuals and given Premier League debuts to Mohamadou Kanté, Callum Marshall and most recently 18 year old Ezra Mayers who had another outing – his second – at the Etihad Stadium. Well we are used to seeing teenage talent get opportunity: The next generation are already making waves as now West Ham’s FIFTEEN year old ‘wonderkid’ ( the daily mail’s terms, not mine) is making headlines as two countries vie for his services. The Hammers youngster chose the Netherlands – which was particularly awkward bearing in mind the first fixture was against England. Remember the name: Emmanuel Fejokwu – West Ham United player and future superstar.
