Sizemore was treating Westworld like any other theme park: In order to keep visitors coming back, his answer was to keep building bigger roller coasters. But one of the promises of the second season is that “Westworld” could, in fact, become a real Western, just as the Pinocchios that populate it have become real boys. As exciting as it seemed that “Westworld” was evolving into a Western with life-or-death consequences, the reality has been less scintillating. This week’s episode, “Virtù e Fortuna,” is an action-packed hour that is least exciting when the guns are a-blazing, despite a few cleanly staged and expensive-looking sequences. “I realized Isabella was a lie, just words in my head,” says Hector.
