‘We need to talk about Catherine’Getting on Broadway was one of the toughest challenges Filipino-American musical theater actress Catherine Ricafort ever had to face. A dancer, singer, and actress, Catherine is not having any trouble getting plum roles in Broadway, many of which have nothing to do with her being Asian-American. She performed alongside Salonga in last year’s Allegiance, and will star in a new original Broadway show Holiday Inn. I just learned by watching shows, getting more experience, and learning from the people I work with,” says Catherine who graduated cum laude with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Southern Carolina. She moved to New York from Los Angeles in pursuit of a dream to perform on stage.
