Victoria and Max Turner are having a momentous year. The couple got married in May in a ceremony on Hayling Island, Hampshire, and this month they’ll be moving into their dream home. Victoria, 26, and Max, 27, have bought a three-bedroom house with a garden, built by the developer Bellway Homes, on the former QEII hospital site in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Victoria and Max put down a 10 per cent deposit (£39,000) and took a 15 per cent equity loan (£58,500) under the Help to Buy scheme to buy the £389,995 house, which they hope to kit out by using vouchers received as wedding gifts.
