An exciting new initiative, Leitrim’s “We’re Breastfeeding Friendly” was launched to coincide with National Breastfeeding Week. The We’re Breastfeeding Friendly project has been launched in Leitrim to coincide with National Breastfeeding Week. The 2023 theme of National Breastfeeding week is “making our communities and workplaces more breastfeeding friendly” which matches the theme of this new local initiative. We’re Breastfeeding Friendly Leitrim aims to improve the health and wellbeing of breastfeeding mothers, children, and their families by encouraging businesses, organisations, and communities and society as a whole to go the extra mile and become even more ‘Breastfeeding Friendly’. “It is wonderful to see Leitrim County Council and Healthy Ireland working towards making our community more breastfeeding friendly.
