Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter has stated that from the outset the government set out three key mandates: justice, reform, and elections. She said the government has made every possible effort to ensure an environment in which voters can freely cast their ballots for candidates of their choice. The adviser said that voters are electing candidates of their own choosing and that there is no opportunity for anyone to impose personal preferences. The polling booths are highly orderly, and officials on duty are carrying out their responsibilities with sincerity. She added that efforts have been made to organize the 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum in an open and democratic environment, and that the election has so far been proceeding successfully.
