more-inThe Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams are round the corner and the district administration is seriously working towards retaining the ‘top district’ title when it comes to the pass percentage. Collector A. Sharath has launched a programme called ‘Uttejam’ to motivate students and teachers. The district authorities launched preparation classes for SSC exams last October. During the last SSC examinations, the Collector had warned teachers over deduction of their annual increment if any student failed the exams. The Collector added that district officers, who were entrusted with adoption of schools, closely monitored the extra study hours and performance of students.
