This finale, more than anything, needed to put what mattered — Rachel, Quinn, behind-the-scenes satire, occasional heartbreak — back in the center and trust it to hold. But “UnREAL” couldn’t resist a few final twists, and I already have questions about next season. After a season that had no idea what to do with Jeremy (He’s disgruntled! (If one of them doesn’t sue the show next season, this will be the biggest imaginable waste of a subplot.) “Everlasting” is a show about people seeking triumph amid inescapable falsity; everything in “UnREAL” echoes that, with an edge.
