‘Ultra super-critical technology’ seen lowering coal emissionsThe debate on emissions spewed out by coal-fired plants has been intensifying, but the industry is placing its bet on ultra-super-critical technology into reducing its carbon footprints. The differing factor though will be on technology advancement that can then substantially reduce the emissions of coal-fired power facilities. This is with the end-result of lowering their emissions of potent greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, sulfur oxide and nitrogen oxide. Nevertheless, Massimo Gallizioli, senior sales executive of GE Power Systems, has emphasized that they have tailor-fitted solutions to improve efficiencies of power plants in each market, including in the Philippines. GE as a technology provider is offering its expertise when it comes to helping ease the tension over environmental issues thrown against coal-fired plants.
