Atiqul stated this after casting his ballot at a polling centre in Nawab Habibullah Model School & College around 9:10am on Thursday. Speaking with the reporters after voting, the Awami League candidate said: “This is a rainy day, and a holiday. Treat yourselves to hot tea and khichuri, and then come to vote. “Voting is your [a voter's] democratic right, and you must exercise that right.”Voting in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayoral by-election and in 36 wards of Dhaka north and south city corporations (DSCC) is underway.
