“Those moments are really traumatizing for the patients, but also for the people that are working there,” Duvernay-Tardif said over the phone from Montreal this week. His work since April on the front lines of the pandemic has given new meaning to that sentiment. Working part-time at the care facility, he says he is in awe of colleagues who have done the work for years.
