Ruto-allied legislators have issued a statement shortly after leaving a closed-door meeting at the Jubilee Headquarters in Pangani. Led by Meru Senator Mithika Linturi, the Ruto camp dismissed claims that they has staged a coup, saying Jubilee is also their party. Unaweza aje fanya coup kwa nyumba yako, chama cha Jubilee ni chama chetu, hakuna mapinduzi, we have every reason to consult on matters affecting our nation,” Senator Linturi said. “Kenyans want to know what the party is planning, when will they be able to register with the party? Kandara MP Alice Wahome who was also in attendance said the leaders had met with DP Ruto over lunch at the offices.
