Photo: Cohen Media GroupThe first time I met Asghar Farhadi, the Iranian writer-director of “The Salesman,” was at the 2011 Telluride Film Festival. He didn’t volunteer his name, but he said he’d made a film that would be showing that evening. A young middle-class couple, Emad ( Shahab Hosseini ) and his wife, Rana ( Taraneh Alidoosti ), are forced to flee their Tehran apartment when the building gives every sign of collapsing. “The Salesman” turns into a mystery thriller as Emad becomes obsessed with finding the intruder.
