DisneyThe pilot ended with a galaxy-shaking plot twist, while the second and third episodes propelled the plot forward, but The Mandalorian seems to have stalled to a halt during the last three episodes. This week’s episode, Chapter 6, had Mando team up with a crew of rogues (including Bill Burr, playing a Star Wars version of himself) a motley crew that inevitably betray him. But it feels almost as though the show is stalling, waiting until the finale to give us another major plot twist, or even a minor progression. Simplicity is nice, but so is plot progression - we need a reason to get excited for next week’s episode. Baby Yoda might be cute, but there’s only so long he can hold our attention.
