NEW YORK: “That’s What I Like,” the steamy ode by Bruno Mars to making love in high style, on Sunday (Monday in Manila) won the Grammy for Song of the Year. “Gold jewelry shining so bright / Strawberry champagne on ice / Lucky for you that’s what I like,” he sings. “I want people to feel fabulous when they hear this album. Therefore, if I want people to feel fabulous, I’ve got to feel fabulous,” he told Charlie Rose before the veteran television interviewer fell into disgrace over sexual harassment allegations. “That’s What I Like” is the first time that Mars, himself a frequent songwriter for other artists, has won the award after three previous nominations.
