PESHAWAR: The police on Sunday arrested two alleged target killers involved in the murder of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) peace committee chief Malik Mir Alam Afridi. The detainees identified as Sajid and Kamran, in the preliminary investigation, admitted to killing Malik Mir Alam Afridi near Achini Khor the other day. Yesterday, Malik Mir Alam Afridi had been fatally shot by two motorcycle riders near the Hayatabad Toll Plaza. Afridi was rushed to the Hayatabad Medical Complex where he was declared dead on arrival. This was the second attempt on his life as he had previously survived a gun attack near Arbab Road in Peshawar in 2014.
