THE Supreme Court’s decision to hold the 2021 Bar Exams in Manila and Cebu will level the playing field especially for bar candidates from the provinces. Lawyer Baldomero Estenzo, former dean of the University of Cebu (UC) School of Law told the Manila Times, the regional hosting of next year’s bar exams will be more promising to provincial candidates. “He (Leonen) is so receptive until he finally convinced the Supreme Court. “Since they (provincial bar candidates) would have to spend (for the Bar exams), it will be a double whammy [for them],” added Estenzo. Regulacion said that the regionalization of the Bar exams is a huge help especially with the expenses.
